BeltLine Southwest Connector Trail

BeltLine Southwest Connector Trail Construction

On January 12, 2013 the Atlanta BeltLine and PATH Foundation held the groundbreaking for the new “Southwest Connector Trail.” Since then construction for the trail has been well under way. The results are already looking very promising with a lovely meandering path through the forest along a creek, nicely designed bridges, and a granite seating area.

The trail is not in Westview, but is conveniently located a few blocks down Westwood Avenue in the Westwood Terrace neighborhood (just west of Westview) and will be a great amenity for Westview residents. Once complete the trail will connect the Westwood Terrace neighborhood with the Lionel Hampton Trail.

To view more photos of the Southwest Connector Trail being constructed please visit our Westview Facebook page.

Development Committee Walk-Through

Development Committee Walk-Through

In 2010 the Westview Community Organization sponsored a planning session that resulted in the Westview Master Plan, which was later adopted by City Council and signed into law by Mayor Reed in 2011.

The Westview Community Organization’s Development Committee organized a 2-hour walk-through to show the areas that would be affected based on the plan. A follow-up walk will take place to touch on the areas that were not covered by the first walk.

To view more photos of the neighborhood walk-through please visit our Westview Facebook page.
