Are you a Small Business owner with a business located in the Westview Commercial District?
The Westview Commercial District Association (WCDA) wants to connect with you.
We have so many exciting things happening in our corridor & would like to invite you to join the Westview Commercial District Association “2018 Kickoff Strategy Session.”
The meeting objective will be scheduling 2018 calendar of events, establishing committees & strategy building with fellow business owners in the corridor.
Thanks to an influx of new businesses, Westview keeps being put back on the map. Eater Atlanta just released “Where to Eat and Drink in Castleberry Hill, West End, and Westview,” and KarbonStar Vitality, Greens & Gravy, and D Cafe made it on the list of places to go.
It should be noted that Greens & Gravy has been given several nods as of lately, such as being picked as Eater Atlanta’s #9 spot of “Atlanta’s Hottest New Brunches, September 2017,” Creative Loafing’s “First Look: Greens and Gravy,” and the AJC’s “This local spot is serving up some seriously good, honey-dripping fried chicken with biscuits.“
Please help shape the design of the Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW Complete Street project!
In this public meeting, we will present and seek feedback on the design of the proposed construction project for Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard SW.
The opportunity for additional community input and supporting meeting materials can be found at: www.beltline.org/engage-meetings. These materials will be posted the day of the meeting.
The Good Hair Shop held its Grand Re-Opening after some brief downtime during upgrades.
The re-opened store features a new concept, extending their handmade, all-natural, eco-friendly and chemical free products into a customizable, bespoke experience. You can even have The Good Hair Shop team of ‘Curlologists’ mix custom blended products for you.
Check out photos from the opening soirée.
Online Instagram celebrity chef Darius Williams already created a media buzz prior to opening his restaurant Greens & Gravy:
Neighborhood groups were equally abuzz as online reservations for the soft opening disappeared within minutes and Williams indicating that the five sold out evenings equated to 814 reservations.
The buzz did not let down. The food was on par. The deviled eggs appeared to be a social media favorite, as did the mac and cheese. The restaurant was well staffed, and the staff was well trained. Perhaps the only thing missing was the ability to pair the delicious dishes with some adult beverages; however, it is our understanding that this will be added at some point.
Greens & Gravy will officially open for brunch on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

A pop-up party and holiday market was held in the Westview Village. The festivities followed the annual Westview Community Organization’s holiday luncheon, providing neighbors another opportunity to gather in the evening over potluck food, libations, and browsing artwork, décor, and more, while listening to local DJ Earl The Third.
