BeltLine Southwest Connector Trail

On August 10, 2013 the official dedication ceremony for the Atlanta BeltLine Southwest Connector Trail took place.

The Southwest Connector Trail is just a few blocks west of the Westview neighborhood and features beautiful meandering walking paths along Utoy creek amidst tree canopy. The trail, which is most conveniently accessed by Westview residents via the dead ends at Westwood Avenue or Rogers Avenue, connects to the Lionel Hampton Trail.

BeltLine Southwest Connector Trail Construction

On January 12, 2013 the Atlanta BeltLine and PATH Foundation held the groundbreaking for the new “Southwest Connector Trail.” Since then construction for the trail has been well under way. The results are already looking very promising with a lovely meandering path through the forest along a creek, nicely designed bridges, and a granite seating area.

The trail is not in Westview, but is conveniently located a few blocks down Westwood Avenue in the Westwood Terrace neighborhood (just west of Westview) and will be a great amenity for Westview residents. Once complete the trail will connect the Westwood Terrace neighborhood with the Lionel Hampton Trail.
