On February 9, 2014 neighbors got together to clean up portions of Rogers, Manson, Westwood and Willard on a mild Sunday afternoon. 15 bags worth of trash were collected!

Fall Cleanup 2013

Late Winter 2014 Clean-Up

On Sunday, February 9th from 2:00pm-4:00pm, the Westview Community Organization is putting together another neighborhood clean-up. The target areas will be Rogers from Cascade to Manson, north to Westwood and South Gordon. Meet up at the intersection of Rogers Avenue and Manson Avenue.

The November 2013 clean-up was a huge success cleaning up the streets and public spaces around Olympian Circle, Linda Way and Beecher Street.

Join the effort and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate at the end of the clean-up.

Fall 2013 Clean-Up

On November 16, 2013 neighbors got together to clean up the southwest quadrant of the Westview neighborhood. The volunteers swiftly compiled 10 bags of trash.

New Garbage Pick-Up Day

Effective August 1, 2011 Westview’s garbage pick-up day will be switched to Wednesday’s. Household garbage, recycling, and yard trimmings will continue to be collected weekly.

Parking will be provided in the Pemberton Place parking deck located on Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Luckie Street

Details: The City of Atlanta, in partnership with Rehrig Pacific, a container company and service provider along with sponsor Coca-Cola Enterprises, celebrate the launch of an exciting new recycling rewards pilot program powered by RecycleBank® and coming to Atlanta residents. The event will host city officials, Rehrig Pacific, Coca-Cola and RecycleBank representatives, as well as feature automated recycling truck demonstrations. Refreshments will be provided by Coca-Cola. Representatives from all organizations will be on hand to answer questions and explain how the program works. Already a success in 21 states and in the United Kingdom, the new recycling rewards program, powered by RecycleBank®, allows households to earn Points redeemable at local and national retailers in exchange for recycling.

Weekly Garbage Pick-Up Resumes

Beginning the week of September 14, the Department of Public Works will resume weekly collection of household garbage, recycling and yard waste.
