Relay Bicycles

Relay Bicycles

The City of Atlanta has expanded its Relay bike share program. A bicycle station is now located at Gordon-White Park in the adjacent West End neighborhood, allowing residents to rent bike’s for hourly pay-as-you-go plans, or via monthly or annual passes. This is a great way for neighbors who don’t own bike’s to enjoy a different mode of transportation, which will be especially fun once the car-free Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail opens up in the fall.

Additional information about Relay bike’s can be found at: www.relaybikeshare.com

BeltLine Westside Transit Meeting

BeltLine Westside Transit Meetings

The Atlanta BeltLine hosted two meetings at Fulton County Central Training on Langhorn Street to discuss transit options for the Westside.

During the first meeting, held on September 25, 2014, residents were presented with a variety of transit options. Residents were then asked to provide their input by rating their favorite and least favorite options for various portions of the proposed transit line with colored green and orange dots.

During the second meeting, held on October 9, 2014, residents were presented with narrowed down options based on the feedback that had been provided at the previous meeting. After the presentation residents were encouraged to leave sticky notes with comments.

What are the next steps for the Atlanta BeltLine?

The Atlanta BeltLine is a massive, comprehensive project that touches more than 45 neighborhoods. While a great deal of work has been accomplished in the past six years, there is much more to do. We must answer important questions about how we build the rest of the project – and we can only do that with your help.

We need your help to help inform the priorities of the project moving forward. The upcoming meeting is your opportunity to hear about how we are shaping this plan, and what criteria we will use to prioritize projects. Most importantly, it is an opportunity to provide your input on how we move projects forward using these criteria.
