The Westview Community Organization (WCO) is looking to make sure that we can respond to the needs of everyone in the community. We recognize that our community is a diverse group, and not everyone uses facebook or email on a regular basis, so we are looking for ‘block captains,’ or point people who have direct connections to their neighbors. Block Captains would be able to let the WCO know about concerns from residents on their block, and the WCO would ask Block Captains to reach out to neighbors with information about key neighborhood events such as community forums or presentations on housing stability.
In order to make this happen, we need *YOU*. The WCO invites you to D Cafe to meet others interested in being a block captain, and discuss ways to foster greater community engagement. We want to ensure that the WCO is responsive to your needs. Please help us do so!
